How do I use Call diversion?

To divert calls using your own phone

  1. Press * and then type the divert code
  2. Press * and then type the phone number to divert to
  3. Press #

To cancel divert using your own phone

  1. Press # and then type the divert code
  2. Press #

To check it's on using your own phone

  1. Press # while holding down *
  2. Type the divert code and then press#

What is Call diversion?

There are two features you can use to divert or transfer calls:
  • Call diversion - Simple to use; all you do is dial in a code directly on the phone line you want to divert.
  • Smart Divert - Has all the features of Call diversion, but also gives you an "access number" giving you the ability to set up call divert remotely, from any phone or mobile within the UK, as well as most overseas locations. It can also divert to 0800 numbers.
Using Call diversion:
  • When Call diversion is set on a line, you'll notice a distinctive dial tone. You'll still be able to make outgoing calls in the normal way.
  • If you need to change the number that calls are diverted to, there's no need to cancel the divert, simply set up the new one.
  • If you've got Call Minder on the line, the intermittent dial tone will indicate there's a new message waiting and not that a divert has been set.
  • Diversion to the following international destinations isn't available: Bangladesh, Colombia, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies.
Costs:
  • You pay for the diverted part of the call at our standard dialling rates.
  • With Smart Divert, calls made to the access number (when using the service remotely) are charged at our standard dialling rates.
    For security purposes you're allocated a secure PIN number to prevent unauthorised usage.
    The minimum term for Smart Divert is 3 months.

How do I divert calls on a Featureline?

You can divert all incoming calls made to your hunt group number.
The divert codes for Featureline are identical to those used for the standard lines  but the process varies slightly.
To divert calls, dial *21*, followed by either:
  • the extension number, followed by #.
  • the site location code and extension number, followed by #.
  • 9 then the telephone number, followed by #.
To check whether the divert is set up, dial *#21#.
To cancel the divert, dial #21#.
